st_9553 asked:
I would like to try using the cloth diapers but not sure where the cheapest place is to buy them. I really cant afford 15 dollars for a diaper. Any suggestions?

You can make your own diapers. There are instructions on line and I’m sure you could cut and sew together either soft cotton cloth that is laying around or go to the fabric store and buy either hemp or 80% cotton fabric. Use your imagination. You could also sew a diaper cover but I think it would be best just to buy the cover. If you get flat fold diapers they’re cheaper than the rest. There are also Chinese pre-fold diapers that you could search on the Internet for. Also if you wouldn’t mind using “used” cloth diapers you could probably find some on e-bay or at a garage sale.
You can also make your own diaper wipes. Just look for recipe on the Internet.
Hope this helps.

The very cheapest place to buy diapers is Dollar General or Family Dollar.

you don’t have to pay $15.00 a diaper unless you want all-in-ones or pocket diapers.
You can get a dozen chinese prefolds for about $20.00. Don’t bother with the gerber or other pakaged types at chain stores. they are crap!-0

I got all mine on ebay. Wouldn’t buy them new ever ever ever. I averaged about one dollar a diaper, and one to three dollars per cover.

try
Also, prefolds and covers are quite easy once you get the hang of it and are very economical!

Ebay was a great place to get cloth diapers but now it is banned by Ebay. Ask friends/relatives/other parents at clubs or playgroups that have CD their children and see if they have extras or outgrown ones for sale.
Another place you might look is craigslist.com or post a want ad on freecycle. I just gave away an almost new diaper cover on there and gave away an infant bumkins at my LLL group to a new mom.
I was given several cloth diapers from a friend who had used them on her daughter. I didn’t care that my son had on pink nappies.
They kept them dry.
I also bought cloth diapers from a local parenting store. Being local you might ask if they will give you a discount if you spend X amount. Or see what they have on clearance. I bought a brand new fuzzibunz for less than half price.
One last place to try is the diaper manufacturer. I know fuzzibunz sells brand new seconds.
Hope this helps!
