What size diaper does your 6 month old wear?
My little one just moved to 3's because 2's are to tight on him we are using Pampers Cruisers. My boyfriend grandmother is always in my Business and she said a baby shouldn't wear size 3 until there 9 months old. Just wondering what size diaper your baby wore or wears at 6 months old. Thanks everyone.
It's not my grandma LOL it's my boyfriends grandma ![]()

let your baby wear whatever size is comfortable. I am only 34 and my mom didn’t have decent disposable diapers when we were kids, so I wonder where grandma is getting her info. My son started 3’s around this age cause 2’s leaked, and he is a little peanut! he only weighed 15 or 16 lbs at that age.

my son was like that and he wore 3s until he was 16 months old and now he is 21 months and in a size 4

UH, my 6 month old has been wearing size 4’s for almost a month now. Tell your grandma to shut it. Does she think all babies are teh same size?

every baby is different…and it depends on their weight..to know what size diaper that they should wear….

My six month old baby girl wears sz 3 diapers, they are pampers too. She already weights 20 lbs. Her Dr. says she is perfectly healthy.

My son turns 6 months tomorrow and he has been in size 3s for about a month now. Size 3s in Huggies, Pampers, and Luvs(we get whatever brand is on sale.) Every baby is different
. Btw my lil man is 16 pounds but is 28 inches long. He’s long and skinny, that’s probably why he needs bigger diapers than some.

My daughter wore size 3. She’s almost 10 months old and we are going to switch her to size 4 as soon as shes done with the 3’s that we have left. We too use Pampers Cruisers.

our son wears huggies snug and dry. He’s 7 months old now and is wearing size 3 during the day and size 4 overnight diapers. He’ about 15 1/2 lbs and as soon as I use up the rest of the size 3’s I’m just going to start using size 4 all the time…he likes to sleep on his belly at night so the overnights don’t do much good anymore…and no offense…unless she’s a SUPER YOUNG grandma, how much does she really know about disposable diapers?
EDIT – Oh, and I have noticed that different brands fit different ways…if I still had him in pampers or luvs he would probably be wearing like size 5 right now…simply b/c they are not "tall" enough for our son…huggies works the best with us b/c our son doesn’t really have much of a butt and the huggies tabs stretch a lot better to get the diapers to stay on him a lot snugger…

Tell your boyfriend’s grandma that my daughter is 2 years 4 months old and wears a size 4! All babies are not created equal. Ask her, "do you wear the same size underwear as the lady next door?" Bet she will shut her mouth then.

My son was wearing size 4’s at 6 months — he had been in those since 4 months old, and still wears them at 19 months!
Every baby grows at a different rate! =)

Don’t ya just LOVE when people give you unsolicited advice about YOUR baby… sheesh!
Change your baby to a new size of diaper when you feel it is too tight, not holding enough between changing, and ESPECIALLY if they start chafing around their tummies. (And don’t even WORRY about the weight guidelines provided on the diaper packages… in my experience, my little guy ALWAYS outgrew the diaper FAR before the diaper’s suggested weight limit.) When my son started to get pink splotches around the diaper’s waistband on his belly, I knew it was time to switch sizes.
I am sorry, but I don’t remember what size he was in at 6 months, but I know that he FLEW through sizes until he was about a year, and then slowed way down. He was in size four for awhile, and in size five forever… until he was potty trained (he’s 21 months, now). He was a chunker, so I’m guessing he was in AT LEAST size 3, probably 4. Oh, and by the way. Pampers Swaddlers does make a size 2-3, but in my opinion, waste of money. The Cruisers size threes are about the same size and you get more of them for less money.
So, bottom line. Purchase for YOUR child what seems to fit him best. YOU are the mama… and YOU know best!
PS… By the way, while I don’t know what size he was in for sure, I KNOW he was out of size 2 well before he was six months old… probably closer to four months, actually, now that I think about it! LOL

shes old-fashioned. my baby wears stage 3 bc she weighs 18 lbs 12 oz.

size 3, he’s almost 20 pounds

Ok…my 2.5 month old just moved to size 2. How the hell would she know? She’s dumb.

My son was in 3’s when he was 4 months old…it depends on how much the baby weights. Your grandma is old school.

My son is 4 and a half months and he has worn size 3 diapers since he was 3 months. He has really wide hips, so he grew out of the other sizes VERY quickly. I don’t think that there is an age recommendation for any size diaper. That’s silly.

HaHa@ wearing size 3 until there 9 months old. Thats the funniest thing I ever heard. Umm my son has been wearing size 3 since before 6 months. Just only bc they fit around his Buddha belly and chuncky legs better.

She’s 7months and has been wearing threes for at least a month or 2.
