Clothes diapers are just that. They are cloth and you can fasten them with pins or sometimes they have velcro. You have to hand wash them and dry them and keep reusing. They are only better because they better for the environment. But if you are looking for convenience, then disposable diapers are the way to go. They are easier basically.

I would use regular diapers. I have a 11 month old and he has always been on parent’s choice. But it depens on how much your baby wets too.

Cloth diapers are made of cloth. If you use them you will be doing a lot of laundry. A Lot. They are better for the environment than Pampers. Make sure you get rubber pants to cover them or everything will come right through. Good luck.

Cloth diapers are the ones that have been around the longest. Pampers are the wisest choice unless you actually enjoy washing **** covered cloths on a daily basis. You put them on almost like you would a regular diaper, except there’s no adhesive. you keep them on with safety pins. Basically, Pampers are safer for the baby too.
you can find an instructional video here:

no they aren’t better, that is probably why no one has recommended them. they are good to use as burp cloths. disposable keep the baby drier. which could means diaper rash nightmares if you decide to use the cloth. you will stay very busy washing poopy diapers every day. however they are better for the environment. if you decide on cloth, you are more of a woman than most of the rest of us…

This reminds me of the time when I was in a store that sells CD music. I saw a young girl nudge her friend and say, “Did you know that Paul McCartney was in a band before ‘Wings’”?
Yeah, I suppose that, sooner or later, someone wouldn’t know about cloth diapers, but that doesn’t mean your parents don’t know! Ask them! They might laugh, but they are your best source for information! (of course, you could have just typed “cloth diaper” with or without the quotes into your favorite search engine, but I appreciated the chuckle!)

wow im really not mean but these uneducated people make me mad! i **** when people answer questions with no experience or knowledge about the topic! anywho, i too looked at both disposables and cloth for my baby while pregnant! here are some negatives and positives to cloth:
negatives:
1) obvious negative, washing **** off of them! honestly its not fun but if you want to use cloth you gotta do it.
2) there a hassle when you go out, you have to bring diaper bags with you to put the dirty ones in because you can’t just whip them in the trash so if your gone for a while it is not fun caring ten dirty diapers in the bottom of your stroller (get the ducky disposable bags, they cover up the stink)
positives:
1) cloth diapers have come so far these days! the ones i use are bumgenius 3.0 AIO’s. they look like a regular diaper the have Velcro and you just stuff it with a liner and then pop it on the baby like you would a disposable
2) SO much cheaper than disposables! they are 18 dollars a piece so it sounds pricey but the ones i have snap to grow with your baby so we bought 26 of them and that’s it, you never have to buy diapers again. even if you have more kids you can use them again! clean them properly and they will stay nice and white so they do not look nasty like someone said!
3) safer than disposables! disposables have Dioxin in them. this chemical is banned in most countries except the USA. dioxin is what causes toxic shock syndrome when using tampons and we let our babies wear these!
4) much easier on there bottoms! my baby was in disposables the first eight weeks of her life because she needed to be in a brace and i was constantly loading on the desitin! ever since she has been in cloth, she has had no rash! i honestly can’t tell you were the desitin is located in our house its been so long that i haven’t needed it!
5) babies that wear cloth tend to potty train up to a whole year sooner than babies in disposables!

I have been using cloth diapers exclusively since my son was 4 days old. I use Happy Heiny’s pocket diapers (one size).
I use them just as I would a disposable. When I change my son, instead of throwing the diaper away I place it in the diaper pail. Every other night before I go to bed I throw the diapers (poop and all) into the washer and then in the morning when I wake I put them in the dryer. Now the whole **** thing might change when my son starts eating more solids but I have liners that he can wear to catch the poopy which will then be flushed. But I don’t feel like they are a hassle at all!!
My son wakes up after 10+ hours and his is completely dry!!! This is what pleases me the most.
Check out happyheinys.com they might have a video demonstration.

Cloth diapers are wonderful if you have the right kind.
It used to be that you used a square piece of cloth that you pinned and covered. Well nowadays there are all sorts of different cloth diapers that do not even leak!
I recommend Tiny Tish Elite all in ones. Here is a link to instructions for their use
They are eco friendly and save a lot of money over all. Plus, I never had one leak with them or one insidence of diaper rash… with 5 kids!
