what I always have in my diaper bag is of course diapers but the amount will depend on how long you will be gone. For a few hours I would have around 5 diapers if you are gone all day then 10. always have a pack of wipes. Not a little pack a big pack to help wash hands and also diaper changes. I also pack a couple of hand toys for the baby to see hanging on the car seat or when they are bigger to play with. Board books are great when they are older. I also have at least 2 to 3 outfits in case of spit ups or blow outs and some bibs too. I also would have a couple of burp cloths and a receiving blanket or two. Rash cream like Triple paste and either disposable changing table mats or a mat to change your baby on and some hand sanitizer for when you can’t wash your hands after.

Just a little tip to save your car seat from blow outs is put a receiving blanket folded twice and put it where the baby’s butt is and also the legs and back. You want all that area covered. So if your baby has a blow out it will hopefully stay on the receiving blanket and then you wont have to wash your car seat.

Since you will be breastfeeding that will eliminate formula and bottles. So, wipes, diapers, burp clothes, extra change of clothes for baby and any of your stuff like wallet, keys, gum etc. The amt. of diapers will depend on how long you will be gone from home.

if it’s a long trip like for 3 or more hours, you probably need about 10 diapers. babies pee a lot, you know.
and if it’s just like 1-2 hours probably just 5-7.
a sippy cup for older babies
band aids
wipes
small hand towel(s)
a small baby blanket
a little toy
a small book

Pack everything you can possibly imagine needing for your baby for a one day period, then double it. You think I am kidding but I’m not.

Make sure it always has 3-5 diapers, this way if you forget to repack it, you’ll still have some, pack a change of clothes, or two, wipes, blanket, diaper cream, pacifier, hat, socks, when the baby is older you put some toys in it, baby tylenol, mylicon, i personally always keep my wallet in mine too, this way i dont need to carry a purse as well as a diaper bag, and a baby… it’s a lot!

4 diapers, baby wipes, a&d ointment, baby tylenol, baby toys rattle, music maker, binky, blankie, changing pad, change of clothes and burp cloth.

I would have a diaper for each hour you plan to be out, a changing pad, a pack of wipes (Lansinoh is a great brand for if you are breastfeeding), a change of baby clothes, diaper rash cream, hand sanitizer, a roll of plastic baggies for wrapping dirty diapers, and extra breast pads for you.
