Should I just give her the box of diapers or make her a diaper cake?
My moms friend got custody of her nephew and since she doesn't have anything my moms other friends are throwing her a shower. The baby is about 9 months old and a size 3 in diapers. Would it be cheesy if I make her a diaper cake since the baby is already born? Should I just give her the box of diapers? I'm planning on getting her the box of 97 pampers baby dry.

Make the cake! It’s so much more thoughtful than just a box of diapers. I was given one when I was pregnant with my first, and I loved it! It doesn’t matter that the baby’s already born… It’s a celebration of her getting custody, so a cake is in order.

I’d just give her the box of diapers. I mean, if she’s suddenly got custody of a kid, I know from friends of mine who’ve adopted, it’s actually *more* chaotic in some ways than having a newborn. And diaper cakes are cute, but when you need a diaper, you really just want to reach into the box and grab one.

give her the diapers in the box. if you were going to make a diaper cake, you could buy some other cool stuff for the baby and just give it to her. i would say just the box of diapers is perfect though.

I think a diaper cake is a cute idea. It doesn’t matter the baby is born, it’s a new baby for her. The intention is what counts and it is very cute of you to give her a diaper cake.

If you feel like doing the diaper cake, then do it. If you feel like it would be nice, but a pain to put together (like me), then just give her the diapers. Do what YOU want. I’m sure she will appreciate them either way…but no, it wouldn’t be cheesy since she is having a shower. It would only be cheesy if there was no shower and you gave her some diapers in a diaper cake.
