I don't live in your area but I am starting a diaper service in Tampa. There aren't any here either. However, I would NOT go with the gerber prefolds or any others that you find at Target, Baby R Us, etc. I'm surprised anyone has found that they work for diapering. It is the first I have ever heard anyone say they're good for anything other than burp rags. I would hate for you to use those diapers and then be turned off from cloth because they simply aren't meant for real diapering.

Cloth diapering is quite simple. There is a learning curve of course, but all new parents can expect a learning curve when it comes to diapering--be it cloth or the chemical, disposable, trash diapers.

There are some good resources out there. Try the National Diaper Service Association and the Real Diaper Association. Choosing cloth is simply the healthiest and best diaper option out there. Good luck!
