I think that you being 14 should be old enough for your parents to allow you to stay by yourself, but considering you said they are your NEW adoptive parents – they don’t know much about you, how you would act if you were alone with the two younger ones – give it time and show them you are mature enough to stay home alone or alone with the other two little girls – when the babysitter comes, help her out alot, so she can give a good word for you to your new parents….

in time they will see how you are and act alone and may begin to trust you to do so.

they probabbly are just a little worried about what you guys could be doing or what could hapen to you. they are just being protective and want to make sure u r safe. ))) exept my mom knew i was safe but she let me stay home alone since i was 9.

give them time…they don’t know you yet. also, there are 2 younger kids with you so they probably want to make extra sure that everything is ok while they are gone

It could just be a rule that they figured when they first started looking into having kids. Many people would say that you are too young to be left alone or to be the one in charge of other children.

I think the best thing would be to suck it up for a while and formulate a plan to try and convince them to leave you in charge.

They just dont want to risk losing you!!! They just adopted you, and though it may seem {{RIDICULOUS}}, they want to keep you as safe as possible. Dont fight it and 16 will be here before you know it!!!!!!
